My goal was to turn an existing 9"x18' covered patio into a massage studio for my home business. This meant, of course, that the sunroom had to be reliably warm at any outdoor temperature. I am happy to report that though the temperature was 24 degrees outside today, inside my new space it was a comfortable and cozy 78 degrees.Over the years, I have had projects on five different homes, so am experienced with working with contractors.I can honestly say that this project, from start to finish, was one of the most efficient and pleasant experiences ever. My first exploration into the sunroom conversion was with a different company and was painful (a required 3 hours hard sell from a marketer with no actual construction experience). I was turned off to the entire sunroom concept and was beginning to look at traditional construction. Fortunately for me, I already had an appointment set up with Mike from Sunrooms America (SRA Home Products). I decided to hear him out, and am SO glad that I did. Mike's approach was entirely different. There was no hard sell, but rather, an informed conversation. He understood exactly what I was trying to accomplish, identified challenges in retro-fitting the space and suggested approaches. I signed a contract that day, not because I felt pressured, but because I felt confident. The project started early and was completed exactly as scheduled. Alisa from the front desk kept me informed every step of the way and triaged my (many) questions pleasantly and quickly. The first team of six arrived on a bitterly cold and windy day. The entire team was hard working and clearly worked well together. The team lead, Juan, kept me updated on progress. I was surprised to see all the walls up by the end of the day. Tom took over project management of the electrical portion, with a three person team led by Joe. There were some challenges, and I requested some revisions that made them come back another day, but Joe and his team sorted through it in good humor. So often a contractor will get 90% done, the bulk of the payment made, and then it is frustratingly difficult to get that last 10% completed. Not in this case. Carpeting, HVAC and touch up painting were handled just as quickly and easily. .I was really impressed with the overall teamwork! (and a bonus, the financing was super easy!)I would give SRA Home Products 6 google stars if I could!
